Lazar Treschan |
Treschan is the Director of Youth Policy at the Community Service Society of New York, where his work focuses on developing solutions to address the over 200,000 16- to 24-year-olds in New York City who are out of school and out of work. Previously, Lazar at New Visions for Public Schools, a local education fund in New York City, where he helped to create and develop small public high schools. Lazar has also worked in policy, program development, and evaluation roles at the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development and Abt Associates. He is an adjunct faculty member at The New School, and is also a long-time teacher and tutor of GED courses in second-chance programs for older youth. Lazar is a native New Yorker, where he attended local public schools, and has a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University.
